There comes a time for everyone when life becomes messy and overwhelming and we need a little additional support to help sort out our emotions, thoughts, and behaviors to figure out “how did I get here?”. Contrary to what you might believe, you are not crazy to feel this way, nor are you weak in asking for help. I strive to provide an empathic and trusting space with an opportunity to be yourself within a non-judgmental therapeutic relationship.
As a spouse of a military veteran, I am honored to work with military soldiers and their dependents. I have knowledge and experience in the transitional experiences associated with deployments and redeployments and associated challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, PTSD, guilt and shame, family conflict, and stress. I also work with teens (16-19), emerging adults, and older adults as they experience life’s many transitions and challenges.
I approach therapy with a humanistic, person-centered method utilizing art therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and mind/body experiences assisting clients to bring their past stories to the present gaining tools along the way to live a life of meaning and intention.
The first, and hardest, step to overcoming your challenges is making the call. I look forward to hearing from you.
